When I visit the bars and eateries, there’s one thing that keeps appearing at everyone’s table. A hand reaching for a cellular device out of sheer habit, preparing to scroll or check emails or reply to a text. You know… fishing for human engagement when a human is directly in front of them or on the side of them, wanting more to say or needing the conversation to be carried further or wanting to be asked another question or to be asked a question at all.
