this one tiny thing changed my entire nightly ritual
and i'll never look back
I’ve been spritzing my skin with alcohol-based perfume for a while now. Sometimes, I’ll enhance it with a fragrant butter or oil. But I’ve always savored my perfume oils for layering in the daylight.
A few nights ago, before bed, I altered my routine and my brain chemistry, simultaneously. I openly joked about wanting a 3.4oz bottle of the NEST Balinese Coconut Perfume Oil because it’s that damn good.
However, its size is exactly what influenced my decision to wear it to bed. I’m not heavy on my nighttime fragrances. It bothers my nose at night if I spray too heavily. It keeps me awake. Or it heightens my senses during a time when they should all be resting.
I’m extremely careful with nightly spray downs. Oil downs. Moisturizing.
Again, this is why I was drawn to the two NEST perfume oils I purchased. They’re tiny. I didn’t think they’d last long in my possession. So, I decided to test Balinese Coconut for my nightly adventures and leave my perfume behind.
Mind. Blown.
I placed a drop on the inner corners of my wrists, the center of the back of my hand, behind each ear, and the center (outer) of each thigh.
I avoid areas like my neck, chest, and chin so I am not overstimulated by a fragrance's intensity as I sleep.
Listen—
I don’t think I’ve ever made an update on a post I’ve written, but my August 10th post - if you want to smell even better than you taste, take this list to the perfume aisle with you - deserves just that.
I have spent every night wearing Balinese Coconut Perfume Oil, and the fragrance's allure has transformed my nightly ritual.
Things I’ve noticed:
Enhanced sensuality
Better quality of sleep
Happier thoughts before bed
An elevated sense of femininity
The urge to touch or be touched
A desire to be gentler
Lingering thoughts of betterment and beauty
And, no, it’s not the perfume oil itself that has been the sole reason for these new findings. It’s the enhancement of my ritual. It’s the preparation for my greatest contribution to my day (rest). It’s the thought that I’m a step closer to being the woman I have been auditioning for.
This is my petition for you to find your nightly perfume oil and never look back.
Not a body oil.
Not a body butter.
A perfume oil.
If you don’t have the funds to purchase a luxe oil right now, save for it. You don’t have to have it right now. But get it and make sure it’s good. Thank me later.

P.S. I love perfume oils so much I formulated my own. My fragrance house launches SS02 on August 28th. Our latest oil, Channing, is a must-have.

Alas, my “wishlist/to get lists” grows an inch more…and I’m here for it. 😍😍
Will be doing this! Also in the spirit of ritual do you have specific scents for writing as well? Scent is so connected to memory, it makes you almost want a special one for every occasion lol
